Hi there, I’m Maryann and a play worker with SPN. I’ve just registered with SPN’S engage hub and I’ve enrolled in the “Play in all Weather” course. Looking forward to gaining some new knowledge and skills and hopefully meeting others who may be doing the course as well.

Hi Maryann, welcome to the group!  What did you think to the ‘Play in all Weather’ course?

For those who don’t know, I’m Aimee Hunt, Operations Manager at Smart Play Network.  I love hearing about everyone’s projects and work, also keen to support and help with any questions or challenges that groups might have.  Please say hey and tell us a little about yourself.

Hi Folks, I am Toni Martin, I am a Play Worker on the Play, Talk, Read Team which is one of the many projects Smart Play Network hold. Since signing up with Engage hub I am now getting around to exploring more of what is on offer. Thinking of enrolling in the Play in All Weathers course also there is an interesting list of recommended books on the introduction page for The Little Explorers I think I might “Explore” :).  The Fire Play Skills course also looks interesting. There is sooooo much stuff on here. I too am looking forward to expanding knowledge and skills as well as meeting other like minded practitioners. 🙂

Hey 🙂  I am Megan Purvis , I am a Play Worker in the Pathways Through Play which is an extension of the Play, Talk, Read Team which is one of the many projects Smart Play Network hold. Since signing up with Engage hub I am now getting around to exploring more of what is on offer. I am interested in engaging with more of the training and the First play training sounds interesting and great fun! (especially the cooking popcorn on an open fire!).   I  am looking forward to expanding knowledge and skills as well as having the opportunities to discuss with other practitioners.

Hello Everyone. My name is Jenny Macfarlane and I am the Senior Playworker of the PlayTalkRead team. I get to tour the whole of Scotland and drive our double decker bus, Benji. We provide a free space for parents/carers to access with their under 4’s, where they can hope on board and play, talk and read together! We set up messy play, arts and crafts, puzzles, stories, singing and much more! We are always on the hunt for cost effective ideas that parents can easily and cheaply replicate at home with their children
